How To Shop For Limos

Qualify Your Limousine Company

Limousine shopping can be overwhelming for the uninitiated. There are a lot of limousine companies that offer tremendous deals and promise top-of-the-line limousines. How do you know you are getting a good deal and doing business with an ethical company? Use our following guide to qualify your limo company:

•	Do they have a PUC State Regulation?
•	Are they a member of the Better Business Bureau?
•	Are they a member of the NLA?
•	Are they DOT approved?
•	Are they a member of the Limousine Association Of Colorado?
•	Are you welcome to inspect their facility and limousine fleet?

If the company you are shopping answers no to any of these questions, beware!

You may be asking yourself why these things are important. Here's why:

Public Utilities Commission (PUC). All Colorado-based commercial motor vehicles businesses are required to register with the PUC. A limousine company that is not registered with the PUC should be avoided at all costs! Also beware of limousine companies that have been revoked by the PUC. For an example, click here. This company is also known as Denver Limo, Front Range Limo, Mr. Limo and has been revoked for not carrying insurance on its vehicles.

Better Business Bureau (BBB). To be accredited by the BBB a business or organization affirms that it meets and will abide by the BBB Standards For Trust. A business registered with the BBB affirms publicly that they are operating with their customer's best interest in mind.

National Limousine Association (NLA). The NLA is the only international association serving the luxury chauffeured ground transportation industry. NLA membership confirms that a limo business stands with the very best in the profession.

Colorado Department Of Transportation (CDOT). All Colorado-based commercial motor vehicles businesses are required to register with CDOT.

Limousine Association of Colorado (LAOC). The LAOC and its members conduct business in a moral and ethical manner at all times. Here are a the requirements for membership:

•	Full service transportation company
•	Licensed by the PUC
•	Fully insured
•	Proper airport permits
•	Professional chauffeurs
•	On-time performance
•	Clean, well-maintained vehicles
•	All amenities in proper working order
•	Vehicles stocked with necessities

On-Site Facility and Fleet Inspection. Any limousine company that does not allow consumers to inspect its limousines in person is suspect. Many limousine companies will "farm out" your reservation. For example, your reservation will be booked and a deposit will be collected. If another client comes along willing to spend more money than you between now and your reservation time, the limo company will "farm out" your business to another inexpensive vendor and pass it off as their limousine. Just wanted to drop you a note to thank you for the awesome limo trip on Saturday! The kids are still talking about it and Ed Miller the driver was fantastic with them! Your company, as always, acted in the professional, friendly matter as it always has and I really appreciate it!
